Regional Conservation Laboratory(RCL), Mysore
The Regional Conservation Laboratory (RCL), Mysore, began operations in 1986 as a regional unit of the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property, serving the conservation needs of cultural institutions across South India. Since moving to its present campus in 2003, RCL has undertaken multidisciplinary research, field projects, diagnostic studies, and conservation treatments, while promoting scientific conservation practices, training, documentation, and sustainable preservation of cultural heritage.

NRLC Training Institute, Lucknow
Established in 2011, the NRLC Training Institute at Jankipuram, Lucknow is dedicated to capacity building and skill development in the conservation of cultural property. The Institute conducts regular long-term and short-term training programmes, including a six-month conservation course, workshops, seminars, and specialized training in preventive conservation. It serves students and professionals from museums, archives, libraries, archaeological organizations, and universities. Through national and international collaborations, the Institute has trained numerous conservators, curators, scientists, and collection managers, strengthening conservation expertise across India and beyond.
