The National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), in collaboration with Gyan Bharatam, organized a two-day workshop-cum-Orientation Programme on “Conservation of Manuscripts” on 12–13 February 2026, at the NRLC Training Institute, Jankipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The workshop witnessed the participation of 40 invited individuals representing a wide spectrum of background, including professionals, students, researchers and individuals interested in the preservation and conservation of manuscripts. The programme featured detailed lectures and hands-on practical sessions covering various aspects of manuscript conservation, preservation techniques and related practices.
Experienced scientists and conservators from the field shared their expertise, practical knowledge and professional experiences with the participants, providing valuable insights into the challenges and methodologies involved in the conservation of manuscripts.
The workshop provided an effective platform for knowledge sharing, practical learning and interaction among conservation professionals and participants. The event was successfully conducted and received an encouraging response from the participants.
